Quadient seeks an experienced Enterprise Software Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic and growing team. The BDR will work in close collaboration with the North American Client Executives and Marketing teams to build up the pipeline for the Enterprise sales team by probing into prospective clients and completely qualifying, developing the client’s interest and then integrating the Client Executive. 

The BDR will utilize sales tools and resources to help the enterprise software sales team exceed revenue goals and build high quality pipeline by highly qualifying marketing qualified leads and converting them to sales accepted leads.The BDR should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development and B2B enterprise software. The BDR should be extremely motivated to identify and highly qualify business opportunities with prospects. The BDR should have the skills to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales team. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Follow up with marketing qualified leads
  • Follow up and promote all marketing programs, tradeshows, webinars, email campaigns, etc.
  • Work with Client Executives to identify target accounts and meet weekly/monthly/quarterly to strategize and collaborate on new business opportunities
  • Research target accounts and titles to upload into database
  • Prospect for potential clients through cold calls and personalized emails
  • Ability to personalize and create email templates, content and correspondence
  • Set-up introductory meetings with prospects to qualify for opportunities
  • Set-up meetings between prospective clients and Client Executive
  • Support marketing events through pre and post attendee outreach, logistics and debrief meetings and post event follow to ensure event success
  • Educate and stay up to date on business products and solutions
  • Report to Business Development Manager on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to track activities, SAL results and goals


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of Enterprise Software business development experience
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent prospecting and lead qualification skills
  • Experience with multiple business development techniques and methodologies (including cold calls, qualifying leads, researching, lead conversion to sales, marketing initiatives, etc.)
  • Must be able to work independently, solution-minded, driven, motivated, team oriented, dynamic positive attitude, self-starter and knowledgeable regarding technology solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Willingness to travel 25%
  • Previous experience working remotely is a plus
